Description:
Geotechnical Engineering is the branch of civil engineering concerned with the engineering behavior of earth materials. Geotechnical engineering includes investigating existing subsurface conditions and materials; assessing risks posed by site conditions; designing earthworks and structure foundations; and monitoring site conditions, earthwork and foundation construction. The Aim of this site is to exchange views, promote research ideas and help faculty, alumni and current students to understand and broaden the knowledge in soil mechanics including physico-chemical properties of soils in microspoic scales, subsurface investigation techniques, foundation engineering, soil dynamics, earthquake engineering, ground improvement techniques related to foundation and pavement construction, numerical methods in geotechnical engineering, reliability analysis, pavement design and analysis, rock mechanics and various in-situ and laboratory tests related to geotechnical engineering and related fields.
